On April 24th, I took a photography course with Jessop’s (a photography shop), a little over 10 days after the UK opened up a little. I was feeling a little nervous even though I’d had both of my vaccinations. We met at the closed store there were 5 pupils and the instructor (Ian). A great group of people.
The course was due to last 6 hours and we had a route that took us from Oxford St to St Paul’s Cathedral. Or, as close as we could depending on where we wanted to spend our time. It did take me a while to become comfortable when we were on the South Bank as I hadn’t been around so many people in almost 18 months.
The instructor was very good and explained things very well. He reminded me about things that I already knew and introduced a few new topics, including how black and white can be much better than colour.
Here are a few of the 1246 photos I took on the day. Most of them are practise shoots trying out new ways of doing and looking but some of them are good.
